You are invited to the Music Care Conference 2025. This year’s theme is, “The Power of a Song in Dementia Care.”
What? The MUSIC CARE CONFERENCE is a national, annual one day conference bringing together care partners interested in the role music has in quality of living and care. The Mississauga 2025 conference will explore the benefits of music in dementia care with plenary speakers, workshops and a final performance by Canadian singer/songwriter, Jill Barber.
Why? Music has the power to unlock memories, spark connection, and bring comfort—especially in dementia care. Dr. Oliver Sacks says music is a way to reach the preserved self in a person living with dementia. Music also supports care partners. Coming together with others to explore the power of a song in dementia care will informative, inspirational. We’ll leave equipped with practical ways to integrate music care into everyday care.
